Animal Hospital of Rocky Hill

Project Cuddles

Project Cuddles is a fundraiser (organized by our receptionist Bri) held in honor of Cuddles, her family childhood cat that was adopted from the Humane Society who sadly passed away in August 2024. To honor his memory, his family has decided to hold a fundraiser to collect donations of needed items to give back to the Humane Society where he was adopted from. Monetary donations can also be made as well, and a list of donors will be presented (either anonymous or named) when the donations are given. Any donations not accepted by the Humane Society will be presented to Out To Pasture, or another local shelter of choice.

Currently we are collecting items now through December 31st, 2024. Donations will be donated to the Newington Humane Society on January 4th, 2025. Below is a list of items currently needed/accepted:

  • General supplies (paper towels, heavy duty garbage bags, gently used towels/blankets/beds)

  • Cat supplies (dry/canned food and treats, litter/litterboxes, new toys/scratchers (please no catnip), carriers, squeeze up lickable treats, laser pointers, Feliway)

  • Dog supplies (dry/canned food and treats, collars and leashes, new dog toys, smooth peanut butter, soft training treats, Nylabones/Benebones, Pupperoni/Beggin Strips, Adaptil)

  • Small animal supplies (Carefresh bedding, Yesterday’s News litter, small animal/bird toys, Oxbow Brand small animal food)

  • Maternity supplies (Royal canin kitten food, Breeders Edge kitten formula, kitten bottles, miracle nipples, snuggle safe heat discs)

Donations can be dropped off at the Animal Hospital of Rocky Hill during normal business hours (open Monday through Friday, 7:30am-5:00pm, closed daily between 12:30-1:30pm for lunch). For any questions, please call us at (860) 563-1027. Thank you for any and all donations!

What Our Clients Say

  • "Animal Hospital of Rocky Hill is simply the best clinic around. Dr. David Haviar & Dr. Kristin Haviar are so knowledgeable and compassionate. They have the most modern techniques & treatments & they really go the extra mile for my cat. I have complete confidence in their abilities. They are great with animals & with people, too. The techs are highly skilled and their reception staff is so friendly and helpful. The clinic is clean and fresh. It’s a positive experience visiting there. I highly recommend this clinic to all pet owners."

    Mary Hanley

  • "I had my first visit with Animal Hospital of Rocky Hill. I was very pleased with the entire experience. The receptionist was so pleasant, the vet tech was wonderful and the vet Kristin Haviar was absolutely wonderful. She spent so much time listening to my concerns and thoroughly examined my cat Molly who was sick. I felt she genuinely cared about her and also how I was doing too. I have switched both my cats over to this veterinary hospital.

    Kim Skewes

  • "Our neighbors have always highly recommended Animal Hospital of Rocky Hill. After several years with a previous veterinarian we finally decided to switch. I have two dogs and it’s easier for me to bring them separately. I thought it was so nice that the office staff made sure both dogs would be seen by the same doctor so a history can be developed with both the dogs and the owner. Office staff were extremely kind, helpful and friendly. Overall a very nice experience."

    Brian Squires

  • "I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Jay Haviar and his staff! They were extremely professional and helpful. They made us a priority and treated us like family! You can tell they have true love and passion for animals. I highly recommend them! Thank you again for fixing up Charlie!!"

    Ken Keeney

  • "My dog Tess had a heart murmur that would eventually be terminal . Dr Haviar was amazing along with staff. I took her to Florida this fall so she could enjoy her last 5 months in pleasant weather. Any time I had a question I would leave message and Dr Haviar would get back to me and treat us like family. He was amazing. At this stage of the game I'm in Florida so there were no fees involved just a good person caring for a former customer in need. Absolutely amazing. I can't say enough about him. One of a kind"

    John Kniejzneski

  • "My pups have been patients here for years. Dr. Dave Haviar is the BEST and although we don't always see him, we have never been disappointed by the other medical staff. They are all TOP NOTCH! The ladies that run the front office are always friendly, caring and genuinely love seeing all the animals as they come in. Thank you to the entire staff for always giving our pups the best care ever!"

    Marcia Monopoli

  • "Dr. Haviar has treated my rescue animals for sick care, preventative care, emergency surgery and spay and neuter surgery. All care was administered with expertise, kindness and compassion. He is a vet who truly cares about animals. Thank you for excellent care."

    Jo-ann Connelly

  • "I have been going to Dr David Haviar since early 1980's. All of my dogs have been treated over the years by either David, Jason or Kristin. They've treated each of my dogs with excellent care and sensitivity during annual visits, emergencies, and serious illnesses. Most recently, I called for my dog who had an eye issue. I was able to get an appointment that day. I recommend them to everyone who has an animal who needs excellent care and attention."
