Are you accepting new patients?

We are currently accepting patients on a case by case basis - please call our office for more info.

Is AHRH an emergency hospital?

We are not an emergency hospital, only a general practice facility. Animal Emergency Hospital of Central CT was part of AHRH, but permanently closed in 2018. If your pet is having an immediate medical emergency, we recommend reaching out to your closest veterinary ER.

Do you provide any grooming services?

We do not provide regular grooming services such as bathing, nail trims, etc. We can perform medicated baths and sedated shave downs, as proven medically necessary. We recommend reaching out to a local groomer for all other grooming requests.

Are you still following Covid-19 protocol?

We are happy to announce we are back to pre-covid protocol, and our lobby is fully open once again. If you are arriving for an appointment or to pick up food and medications, please come inside the lobby and a staff member will assist you at the desk. If you are feeling unwell, please call us and we can provide curbside services as needed.

Do you provide any payment plans?

We do not provide payment plans. We do accept CareCredit, as well as card (including Amex), check, and/or cash (no bills over $50 please). CareCredit is a wonderful resource for unexpected vet bills, as well as other medical bills - check them out here.
