Rocky Hill Animal Hospital Staff
Dr. David E. Haviar & Dr. Kristin K. Haviar
Dr. David Haviar, also known as Doc to most of his clients, obtained his DVM from Purdue University in 1975. He has been serving the Rocky Hill community since 1977. His love of veterinary medicine, as well as his care and compassion for animals, is the reason why both of his children have gone into the same profession. When not working, Doc enjoys many hobbies, including golf, trapshooting, and fishing. At home, he has a Cornish Rex cat named Teddy, a German shorthaired pointer named Willie, and a Doberman named Matilda.
Dr. Kristin Haviar, known as Dr. K by most of her clients, obtained her BS in animal science from Purdue University in 2003, and then went on to receive her DVM from Purdue University in 2007. She began working at the AHRH shortly thereafter. Ever since she was little, she helped her father at the clinic, and she has always had a strong love and devotion for animals. She enjoys working side-by-side with her father and learning from his 30+ years of experience. When not working, her hobbies include tennis, horseback riding, and yoga. Dr. K shares her home with her husband, Ed; larger-than-life Doberman, Vinny; and her two Cornish Rex cats, Zak and Slayter.
Dr. Edyta Hrynkiewicz
Dr. Edyta received her bachelor’s degree in Pathobiology at the University of Connecticut, and then attended Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine for her DVM. Dr. Edyta volunteered at the AHRH while she was an undergraduate, and is thrilled to be working at the same clinic that fostered her strong foundation in veterinary medicine while complementing her lifelong passion for helping animals. Her main interests are surgery and internal medicine. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking and playing volleyball. Dr. Edyta is also fluent in Polish, and is looking forward to adopting pets of her own soon!
Kevin, Veterinary Technician
Kevin joined AHRH in 2011, assisting with our boarded pets. He has completed a veterinary technician program and now can be found in any part of the hospital. When he's not working, he can be found with Dr. Haviar practicing his marksmanship.
Lisa, Veterinary Technician
Lisa joined animal hospital of rocky hill in 2012. She has been a veterinary technician for over 15 years. She currently has two Boston terriers named Maggie and Chester as well as a cat named Scruffy. Lisa can be found helping the emergency clinic, pet sitting or hanging out at her family lake house with her husband and pets during the warmer months.
Clare, Veterinary Technician
Clare began working with the Animal Hospital of Rocky Hill team in March 2010. She graduated from Middlesex Community College with a vet assistance degree. She has two dogs, Fiona, a black lab/terrier, and Gus Gus, a Chihuahua. Clare's canines are the best dressed at the Animal Hospital of Rocky Hill!
Darlene, Client Care Coordinator
Darlene joined the AHRH team in January 2007, after leaving the insurance industry. She has a golden retriever, a parakeet, and salt water fish. Darlene also has an outside fish pond containing about 25 goldfish and koi and an unwanted blue Heron.
Mallory, Veterinary Technician
I've spent my whole life with a huge love for animals and I can't imagine going a day without being around them. I've grown up with dogs and cats and was always the one to play nurse when an issue arose. I spent a few years focusing on school before I adopted my Border Collie, Addie. She is the love of my life and I'm so happy I found her.
I've been an avid horseback rider since I was 6 which is really what got me into the care and maintenance of the animal world. There's nothing like riding a trail with your dog at your side. Some things that I like to do in my free time are travel, spend time with family, and play with my dog.
